Srinagar, Jul 02 (KNO): The residents of Hubbi Colony in Soura, Srinagar, have voiced their growing frustration over the urgent need for road widening in the locality. Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the locals said the narrow and congested road that passes through Hubbi Colony, from the police station to the Water control room office Soura Srinagar serves as a primary route for both residents and commuters. “It has not been widened or maintained for years, leading to constant traffic jams and posing serious safety hazards. The road is so narrow that it leads to traffic jams every day in the morning time. In case of emergencies, it's almost impossible for an ambulance or other emergency services vehicles to get through,” lamented Irfan, a resident. Local shopkeepers have also been affected, with many reporting a decline in business due to the poor road infrastructure. They appealed the concerned authorities to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest—(KNO)
